The World Has Lost One Of TV’s Greatest Dads: Martin Crane
Actor John Mahoney, who played Martin Crane on the hit TV show Frasier, passed away on Sunday at the age of 77.
Mahoney was more than just Frasier’s dad, of course. He was also a Tony-winning stage actor and starred in a variety of films, including Tin Men, Moonstruck, Barton Fink and many others. But here at Classic Dad, we’ll always remember him as the gruff dad on that awesome recliner, keeping Frasier and Niles as grounded as possible.
He was about as Dad as it gets. RIP, Mr. Mahoney.
