7 Christmas Movies For Dad To Binge On Netflix
With Christmas season officially upon us, dads across the nation are changing their binging habits and trying to watch as many Christmas movies that they can. So with that in mind, here are seven great holiday films currently on Netflix for dad to binge between NFL and college football games.
White Christmas
Dads love old movies, and dads really love old Christmas movies. So naturally this classic Bing Crosby musical checks a lot of boxes for yule-tide loving fathers.
Chill With Bob Ross
This might be a bit out of left field as far as being a “Christmas movie,” but it’s close enough for us. Some brilliant director decided to edit together a bunch of Bob Ross episodes that involved him painting winter and holiday-appropriate landscapes. But really, any excuse to binge some Bob Ross is a good excuse.
Bad Santa
Bad Santa isn’t the most…appropriate Christmas movie, but when have dads ever been appropriate?
The Christmas Chronicles
This Netflix-original was just released on Thanksgiving, but all we have to say to convince dads to watch it is the following—Kurt Russell plays Santa Claus. Kurt Russell.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Unfortunately, the original animated special is not on Netflix, so we’ll have to settle for the overstuffed Jim Carrey vehicle from 2000. Granted, it’s not a bad Christmas movie by any stretch, and it makes for some solid binging, it just can’t hold a candle its classic predecessor.
A Very Murray Christmas
It’s a holiday special starring Bill Murray. Of course dads are going to want to watch it.
Love Actually
You might think that dads would dismiss Love Actually as a fluffy romantic comedy, but you’d be wrong. Dads have a secret soft spot for this movie despite the phrase “from the makers of Notting Hill” plastered on the DVD box. He might try to watch it when no one else in the family is looking, but trust us, he’s definitely going to be watching this on Netflix at least once this holiday season.
At least, until Netflix finally adds Die Hard. Because that’s the only Christmas movie dads need to binge.
