A Dad’s Tweet-Length Reviews Of Each Episode Of Black Mirror’s 4th Season

  • January 13, 2018

Black Mirror is one of Netflix’s most popular original series, with about the same viewership as Narcos. It’s also one of the weirder and most depressing series Netflix has ever produced. Which means that, while you have probably seen this British anthology full of technological warnings, your dad might just now be getting around to it with the much hyped release of the 4th season. But what does dad think of this bleak show? Well, here are his tweet-length reviews of each episode of the season. Spoilers ahead, so beware.

Episode 1: USS Callister

Dad’s Review:  I thought it was going to be a fun Star Trek spoof, but turns out that creepy red-haired kid from Breaking Bad is kind of a jerk. Oh, and I just realized that it has the mom from that How I Met Your Mother show too. Not too bad. I liked the ladies costumes.

Episode 2: Arkangel

Dad’s Review: So this mom put a chip in her daughter’s head so she could see everything her daughter sees? And she can use it to blur violent and obscene images? That’s very creepy, but also very useful. I would use it to make sure it blurs out every boy’s face until she reaches 30.

Episode 3: Crocodile

Dad’s Review: It started off with two people killing a bicyclist on the street, and gets even more depressing from there. Don’t tell your mother but the main woman who does all the killing reminds me of a girl I used to date in college.

Episode 4: Hang the DJ

Dad’s Review: Oh you kids with your dating aps. You know in my day, you had to find a pretty girl and work up the nerve to talk to her, not rely on all these doohickies. Oh, you want a review? Um, yeah I liked that this one wasn’t sad.

Episode 5: Metalhead

Dad’s Review: Holy creepers. This one was spooky as heck! It had these robot dogs, and those were scary, but then my son told me that those robot dogs are real, and I am not too happy about that.

Episode 6: Black Museum

Dad’s Review: That one fella who ran the museum was a bit of a jerk, wasn’t he? I got that vibe from him right away. This is a weird show, is this really the kind of stuff you kids like to watch?
