March Madness, aka “the only time you really care what happens in college basketball, be honest with yourself,” is just around the corner.
While you may think you know how to celebrate it, your dad knows you’re just a rookie. He’s been around the block a few times with this whole NCAA tournament thing, and he’s got a word of advice or two on how to really capitalize on the only reason to get excited for March (other than St. Paddy’s Day).
Here’s some dad advice to make the most of it.
DO: Complain About Play-In Games
“You know, it used to be that the NCAA tournament was just 64 teams. Nice, easy to remember number. Then they decided to let some 16-seeds do play-in, and that was fine as 16 seeds never win anyway. But what’s this business with 11-seeds playing in? I can’t even know who’s playing when I fill out my bracket? That’s garbage! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
~Your dad, for the third time during the first game of the tournament.
