Why Spring Break Was Better In The 80’s

80’s music was different…it was better. All the Glam Metal and hair bands just wrote songs about partying and being rad. There was no whining complaint rock. Just have a good time music. Outside of rock, the synthesizer ruled, Michael Jackson was still King and Madonna was shocking everyone by being too racy.

Also, the sexual revolution had long since occurred and women’s liberation had already been going strong. Young people born never knowing the 50’s, were now becoming adults. Male, female, both independent and ready to make their own adult decisions, but completely free of any social stigma that previous generations experienced.

By now, the bikini had become commonplace as gnarly swim wear and panty raids still somehow were considered harmless fun.
