Look at the world today. Las Vegas is now family-friendly and Cancun might as well be a big American mall.

Not only were the best party destinations still cool in the 80’s, but they were in their prime. For those who had to stay stateside, Daytona Beach and Fort Lauderdale weren’t dominated by old people yet. Plus, those who could travel outside the U.S. knew that Panama was so bitchin’ that Van Halen made a song about it.
