8TH Place: Sygic
Sygic actually works offline, which is pretty handy, but requires you to download local maps which eat up a lot of memory. It also takes a while to download, which is a negative for dad. It also has a funny name, but not funny like a bad pun, and more like “weird and possibly foreign sounding” so that pretty much disqualifies it for dads right off the bat.
