3 Of TV’s Most Underrated Dads

TV Show: Boy Meets World
Sure, this may not be the most remembered show of all time and yes, he did have a daughter that was “upstairs” for a season and no one seemed to notice, but Alan Matthews is still a greatly under appreciated TV Dad. He gave real and honest life lessons to his kids. One of the best examples of this was his lesson on settling. In the episode “You Can Go Home Again” Eric found a quaint little town.
He wanted to stay there instead of going to college and live a simple and easy life. Alan told Eric about how that was exactly what he did himself. Now while he stressed that he didn’t regret getting married and having the family, he does wonder every single day about what he would have been if he didn’t settle. In addition, he was also willing to kill a cult leader for trying to recruit Sean. His reasoning was that Sean was the best friend his son, Corey could ever ask for and that alone was worth killing for.
