Dads and TV have gone together since before there were Dads…or TVs…or whichever came first. As a result, the grand pantheon of Fathers fitted for the small screen are too numerous to name. So let’s highlight just a select few.
Now, a list of Mike Brady’s and Jim Anderson’s would be about as boring as actually having them as dads. Therefore, any dad pre-1970’s is out. Let’s face it, TV Dads weren’t actual people until TV had more colors than black, white and gray. So this list is here to cherry pick the cream of the crop, the very best and most underrated television men that prove that Father does indeed Know Best.
