Worried his current power drill could break at any moment, Dallas, Texas dad Kevin Benson recently made a trip to the local hardware store to purchase a backup drill.
“Just in case something happens to Dewie,” Benson said, referring to his Dewalt power drill that is in perfect working condition. “It could run out of juice in the middle of a project. My son could borrow it without asking. Heck, there’s no telling what could happen. That’s why I got Mack, here.”
“Mack,” the cordless Makita drill Benson decided to buy in cash so his wife didn’t know, will likely be kept in the cabinet toward the back of the garage.
“That way nobody even knows I have it,” said Benson. “I’m kind of on a strict budget when it comes to tools, or at least that’s what Beth thinks!”
