After looking over various recommended precautions and medical expert opinions, 43-year-old father of three Jeremy Rodgers has made the difficult decision to not invite his in-laws over for Thanksgiving due to, in his words, “Um, yeah let’s say COVID.”
“Yeah, I mean, you know, any other year, I’d want, um, definitely want the in-laws over for the holidays, but, you know, this, um, this virus, it’s just better to be safe, you know?” Rodgers told reporters. “I mean, I’m broken up about it, but just, um, yeah. COVID.”
Rodgers expects that, for safety reasons, Thanksgiving will consist of his family, his brother and their family, and his parents. Rodgers additionally said, “Again, though, that’s just about the limit of who we can fit while, um, socially distancing, so, you know, we just don’t have room for the in-laws. Because COVID. Yeah.”
