More than two thirds of all dads in America are “just resting their eyes” at the moment. According to those dads, they are also not asleep.
“Huh?! What, don’t change that channel!” Ray Benson, 45, remarked when his kids tried to take the remote from him as he napped on the couch.
According to family members across the nation, dads tend to claim all non-bed naps are actually just moments of eye relaxation.
“I can hear him snoring from the next room,” said Benson’s wife, Julie. “But the second I go in there and try to put a blanket over him or turn out the light, he bolts awake and complains that he wasn’t sleeping at all. So annoying.”
This is reportedly the highest simultaneous eye-resting for the country’s fathers since about 4:30 pm last Thanksgiving.
