Man Shakes Father’s Day Card Yet Again, Hoping For Cash
Local father Craig Langston shook his ‘Far Side’ Father’s Day card for a third time, reportedly, hoping at least a five dollar bill would fall out.
“I have to admit, it’s been a tough year. With the markets the way they are, I mean, man…” Langston told reporters.
The man feigned a smile and delivered a painful thank-you to his two adult children, as he imagined which of his worldly possessions he could pawn off in desperation.
“I could use a little extra scratch, honestly. I know Kelly is a theater major and Brandon is doing his art thing, but seriously, ten bucks could go a long way.”
The two Langston children could not be reached for comment, as they were reportedly on a float trip with friends.
At press time, the elder Langston confirmed that the Prius had to go and that grandma’s armoire was also up for grabs.
