Local Dad Has Strong Opinions About New Chili’s Menu Items

Elliot Nathans, a 49-year-old father of three from Columbus, Ohio, has recently revealed that he has some “strong opinions” about the newer menu items at his local Chili’s Bar and Grill.

“Listen, you know I love Chili’s,” Nathans told his family as well as the waitress at the Festival Center location of the tex-mex casual restaurant. “But some of these items I feel like you kind of phoned in. I mean, Alex’s Santa Fe Burger? It’s all right, but they’re relying too heavily on the avocados, if you ask me. And the Boss Burger sounded promising, but I think they’re just trying too much here. You don’t need rib meat and bacon, do you know what I mean?”

Nathans continued to praise the newer menu items at the chain that he felt, “really stayed true to the Chili’s brand,” while bemoaning some menu items that have been removed, such as the Southwest Chicken Soup which, according to Nathans, “felt like the kind of tex-mex cuisine that I associate with Chili’s.”

He then proceeded to order a Southwestern Egg Roll and a full slab of Baby Back Ribs, which is the same order he has historically placed during 80% of his visits to the chain.
