Local Man Convinced Lava Lamp In Bedroom “Still Cool”

Jonathan Strill, a 31-year-old resident of Aurora, Illinois, has recently gone on record that he is convinced the lava lamp in his bedroom will “totally become cool again” and that “it’s just a matter of time until this bad boy is the next new fad.”

Strill, who has had the red lava lamp since winning it with a dozen trips’ worth of tickets at Enchanted Castle in Lombard as a 7th grader, insists that society will soon embrace the lighting device that, for the past 10 years, has been a source of mild confusion and teasing from friends and significant others.

“Listen, a lot of stuff from the 90s has come back lately, why not lava lamps? Lava lamps are cool!” Strill insists, even though deep down he knows that, unfortunately, lava lamps are not in fact cool and likely never will be.
