Citing a “crazy-busy schedule,” Richard Aaronson, a 47-year-old father of three from Davenport, Iowa, only managed to get three naps in last weekend.
“I mean, I managed to get my Friday post-work nap in,” a clearly exhausted Aaronson told reporters. “But after that? I only was able to fit in a quick power nap on Saturday and a pre-dinner nap on Sunday. I’m not used to spending that many daytime weekend hours awake, so it was a pretty big shock to the system.”
A combination of a family gathering, two little league games, and two separate instances when he mowed the lawn were largely to blame for the lack for Aaronson’s lack of napping, though he did go on to add, “A lot of it was my fault. I spent a few hours watching golf on my recliner, and normally I’d pass out right then and there, but I didn’t for some reason.”
Aaronson claims he has learned his lesson, and will make sure to fit in his recommended five weekend naps next Saturday and Sunday, regardless of how busy he finds himself.
