Dad’s “Secret Grill Marinade” Just Butter And Salt

Residents of Akron, Ohio have announced that they believe they have discovered the heretofore secret grilling marinade of local dad, Trent Johnson. Johnson, who brags about his marinade at every barbecue he attends, has so far refused to verify the recipe, but reports indicate that it consists entirely of melted butter and a “butt load” of salt.

If true, this recipe could explain why all of Johnson’s steaks are notorious for their strong salty and buttery taste. Johnson’s neighbor, Tony Henders, claims to be the one who discovered the recipe. According to Henders, he walked in on Johnson preparing his marinade, and noticed that the only thing he took out was a whole box of salt, and five sticks of butter.

While many are excited to learn this secret marinade recipe, most residents agree that, considering the simplicity of the ingredients, they should have figured it out a long time ago.
