Competitive Dad Buys Every Single Christmas Light In Town

Ohio dad Jonathan Jansen earned the ire of his neighbors recently by purchasing every single light bulb the Akron suburb of Fairlawn in order to ensure he has the best lighting display in town.

Jansen, who is known for his competitive nature, went to every single department and hardware store in town, spending over $3,000 of his own money to make sure that no one else would be able to buy a lighting display to rival his.

“Yeah, that’s a classic Jansen move,” one neighbor told reporters. “He’s just got to have the best lights up, even if it means no lights for anyone else.”

Jansen claims he plans to use every single light he purchased.

“Even if it covers every inch of the whole house,” he clarified.

When asked what he planned to do about neighbors who were going to purchase lights online, Jansen responded, “…oh crap, should have thought of that.”
