After over a week of shelter-in-place orders across much of the country, dads nationwide have still yet to figure out how to properly use the video chat app, Zoom.
“Hello, are, can you hear me?” 51-year-old father-of-three Richard Sprite asked reporters. “I, it says here that I can put a background, do I look like I’m in space right now? Is that working? Hello, can you hear me?”
America’s fathers report issues un-muting their mics, finding the thumbnail display options, or knowing how to hang up at the end of calls with their siblings and children.
Sprite, for one, believes that dads will eventually get the hang of the app in the ensuing weeks, saying, “Yeah, I’ve been using this to talk to my sons, so I think when I use it enough I’ll definitely master…wait can you hear me? Hello? Am I on mute?”
