While most public places across the nation have been closed as part of various shelter-in-place orders, 47-year-old father of two Jonathan Frier has determined that going for between 18 and 36 holes of golf in a single day is his way to “socially distance.”
“Listen, I’m supposed to stay six feet away from people, and I’m supposed to avoid public places. So yeah, if I’m spending three, four hours a day with just me, my clubs and about ten to twelve Coors Lights, am I doing my part? You bet.”
While some states have closed golf courses, Frier’s course, located in Missouri, remains open, and Frier makes sure to stay six feet away from any other golfers, and always wears a mask, unless he’s drinking one of his Coors.
