Local Dad Once Almost Saw AC/DC In College
49-year-old Brendan Howards once “almost” saw AC/DC perform in college, according to a story he has told dozens, if not hundreds, of times.
“Yup, they were playing on campus my senior year,” Howards told reporters, reciting the details with polished familiarity. “I was like, who are these guys? I’d never heard of them, so I didn’t buy tickets. Next thing you know, they’re one of the biggest bands in the world! Just my luck!”
AC/DC isn’t the only brush with fame that Howards has missed out on. According to his family, he also talks about how he once saw Heather Locklear at a bar in 1993 and was one or two beers away from having the nerve to talk to her.
