What started out as an epic feast of savory meats, delicious sides and decadent desserts has turned into a sad state of affairs, as the only item left in the fridge is Aunt Edna’s green bean casserole.
Known for being “somewhat good” and “kinda stringy,” the casserole is a depressing reminder that Thanksgiving is over and you probably won’t see a spread like that until Christmas at the earliest, but most likely next November.
“I was all excited to make another turkey, mashed potato and cranberry sandwich this morning,” said local man Bob Benson. “Then I opened the fridge and saw a single dish left…of green beans. I guess I’ll just go back to eating lunchmeat and chips for every meal.”
