Dad Celebrates Pair Of Underwear’s 21st Birthday
In a momentous milestone, 48-year-old father-of-two Glenn Barkley is currently celebrating the 21st birthday of a pair of briefs he purchased from The Gap in 1998.
The underwear, which is now old enough to legally consume alcohol, has been worn by Barkley roughly once every week for that entire span of time, and has, in his words, “held up pretty well.”
“I mean, it’s a perfectly good pair of underwear,” Barkley told reporters. “Sure, there are a few holes in it, and the elastic isn’t what it used to be, but it covers the right parts enough to get the job done.”
While this is the oldest pair of underwear in Barkley’s wardrobe, it is not the oldest piece of clothing in his possession. That title belongs to his high school gym t-shirt that he wears now exclusively when he gardens.
