According to multiple sources, Scottsdale, Arizona native Jonathan Brewer, 35, refuses to eat vegetables unless they have first been cooked on a charcoal grill.
Brewer, who refuses to eat any salads or other vegetable side dishes, will, however, gladly eat corn, zucchini, or even romaine lettuce, assuming it has been grilled to the point of having char marks.
“I’ve never been a big fan of vegetables,” Brewer confided. “But you pop that sucker on a grill, it’s a different story. Tastes almost meaty, with the smoke and everything. So yeah, you can keep your carrot sticks to yourself, unless you’ve scorched them on the Weber first, of course.”
While Brewer readily eats other foods, such as meats and cheeses, without the assistance of charcoal, he is the first to admit that he prefers pretty much any food he consumes if it’s been grilled.
