New Balance Sparks Controversy With “Slightly Off-White” Sneakers
New Balance has sent shockwaves throughout the dad community with the recent announcement of their release of 990v4 sneaker, which comes in a “slightly-off-white” color, as opposed to the standard, dad-approved white sneakers.
“I can’t believe what I’m seeing!” one local dad was overheard exclaiming. “What’s that shade on there? These can’t be new shoes, because they’re not white. They look like they got just a little bit dirty. I can’t wrap my head around this!”
Representatives from New Balance claim that this new off-color is a “welcome addition” to their shoe lineup, and claim their goal is for dads everywhere to be willing to wear non-white sneakers by the year 2030.
