It was only in the last second when all hope seemed lost that local man, Bryan Singer, rolled down his window to ask for directions from a guy at the bus stop.
The sun had long since set and Singer had been driving around for an hour and a half already, in search of the performing arts center where his daughter’s high school orchestra class was holding their yearly recital.
“I mean, I was pretty sure it was the one downtown, but the guy there told me there wasn’t anything going on tonight so I was at a loss,” Singer told the stranger on Thursday night.
“Got any idea where this one, the Kauffman, or Coleman or something, is?”
Singer had been driving around aimlessly, he now admitted to himself in a moment of uncharacteristic humility, for the better part of 90 minutes.
“Have you tried Googling it?” the stranger reportedly asked as Singer’s car began to hold up traffic.
Last reports indicated that Singer had, in fact, not tried that yet.
