With temperatures rising up to the high-80s in much of the Midwest, Indianapolis dad Gerald Antony has finally caved in and decided to install the window air conditioning units into his four bedroom home.
Antony, who refuses to invest in central air, calling it a “scam,” spent most of the afternoon going down to his basement to single-handedly lug each of the five window units in his possession upstairs before installing each one, though he did so under duress, insisting that “it’s not that hot right now, all you need is a few fans to cool you down.”
This marks one of the earliest years for the installation of air conditioning in the Antony household—typically, these window units are installed in early-August before begrudgingly being taken down at some point in October.
