Man Turns $50 Plumbing Issue Into $400 Plumbing Disaster
Insisting that he “totally has this under control,” 38-year-old Raleigh, North Carolina resident Cam Anderson has managed to turn a small plumbing issue that would have cost $50 to repair into a disaster that will likely end up setting him back hundreds of dollars.
Anderson, who has very little experience of knowledge in plumbing matters, noticed a leak in his bathroom sink last week. Figuring that anyone can fix a leak, he went to work. While he failed to fix the leak, he did manage to permanently damage various pipes and valves, none of which he knows the name of.
“So this got a little out of hand, but now that I have a feel for the system, I should be able to fix it,” Anderson asserted before deciding to call a plumber 30 minutes later.
