After spending four hours sanding, staining and polishing a coffee table Saturday afternoon, local dad Daniel Aimsworth proceeded to spend a full additional 30 minutes describing the process to family and friends, greatly overestimating their interest in the material.
“Now, you see, at this point I had to switch over to my 600 grit sandpaper, because, as you know, that’s where you start to get that real smooth finish,” Aimsworth was overheard telling his son, who was clearly on his phone not paying attention. “Some people stop at the 400 grit sandpaper, and that’s just lazy craftsmanship if you ask me.”
As soon as Aimsworth finished narrating his sanding project, he abruptly switched gears to talk for 40 minutes about the time he managed to fix the kitchen sink on his own, even after everyone told him to hire a plumber.
