Claiming it was “just starting to feel tropical out here,” Midwestern native Dave Sanders has decided that today’s current high temperature of 60 degrees was warm enough to justify wearing his favorite gaudy Hawaiian shirt.
Sanders has been seen strolling around in his mostly red-and-white patterned shirt and cargo shorts, shooting finger guns to strangers and exclaiming, “Winter’s finally over!”
Sanders, who proudly boasts a wardrobe with nearly a dozen different Hawaiian and otherwise tropical button down short-sleeve shirts, had not put on one of his shirts since late September of last year, though this is not the earliest in the year he has whipped out the outfit. That distinction came in 2015, when a freak 55 degree day in February was deemed “perfect weather for margaritas.”
