According to his two children and his wife who does most of the household cooking, Dan Sterns, 43, has recently begun bragging that he is a “master chef,” even though the majority of his cooking involves making ramen noodle packets.
“I don’t mean to brag, but I’m kind of a cooking wiz,” Sterns was heard boasting as he added a packet of chicken seasoning to a boiling pot of noodles. “Now don’t tell anyone, but my real secret? Right before I serve it, I crack an egg in it and stir that around. Makes a huge difference in the taste.”
While Sterns claims he is often “too busy” to take his craft to the family dinner table, he also claims that he can make a mean quesadilla by putting some packaged shredded cheese on a tortilla and microwaving it for a minute.
“That’s more of a late night snack, but it comes together pretty nicely,” Sterns said. Shortly thereafter, his wife made a point to remind him of the time he somehow set off the smoke detector trying to cook a pot of pasta in unsalted water.
