After his wife announced she had to go out of town for a few nights for a work conference, local dad Brian Milligan announced to his three sons that, “It looks like we’re ordering pizza tonight.”
Milligan, who was left in charge of procuring dinner for his family, decided against cooking any of the potential meal options defrosting in the fridge, and instead will be calling a local pizza restaurant for delivery.
“Well, there’s chicken thawing, and I think your mother left some ingredients for a salad, but why don’t we just get some pizza? It’s been a while since we’ve gotten pizza delivered, let’s treat ourselves.”
The last time the Milligan family ordered pizza as delivery was two months ago, when Mrs. Milligan was again out of town. While she did ask her husband to “please not just order pizza like last time,” Milligan put in an order for a large two-topping pizza, under the condition that his children “keep quiet about this when your mom gets home.”
