“Not all heroes wear capes.” That’s what residents of Boulder, Colorado are saying after Jonathan Andrews, 41, managed to fit five whole grills in a single parking spot while tailgating for the first game of the NCAA Division 1 Colorado Buffaloes season.
“When Jon pulled in with his truck, I didn’t know what to expect. He usually talks a pretty big tailgate game, but can back it up,” a nearby tailgater told reporters. “Then next thing you know, he’s taking out a grill, then another grill, then another, and all of a sudden he’s got his car and five lit grills all in one spot. It’s amazing, I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Andrews claims that his feat is “no big deal” and “just what any real fan would do when you’ve got 20 pounds of meat to cook up,” and has hinted that he might try to bring six grills for the next game.
“They’re pretty roomy parking spaces, maybe I’ll bring my smoker,” Andrews added with a grin.
