“Oh come on, that’s not going to last a week,” he complained. “Plus you got the whole thing wrong over here. If you want something done right next time, forget doing it yourself and ask me.”

The proper fix, which you thought was pretty basic, is actually way more complicated.

“I can’t believe I raised a person who thinks this is how you handle a home repair,” your dad said before shaking his head and getting his toolkit. “Step aside and let me show you how it’s done.”
