Rebel Dad Smuggles His Own Popcorn Into Movie Theater

Citing the “outrageous” prices of concessions at movie theaters, Derek Franklin has decided to smuggle his own “homemade” microwaved popcorn into a screening of Ant-Man and The Wasp. Franklin defended the move, which involved stuffing the cargo pockets of his shorts with as much popcorn as he could.

“Listen, this was my first time doing this, but you’re darn right I’ll do it again,” he said. “The popcorn was a bit cold, sure, but I also saved myself a good seven bucks. And you can definitely taste the savings.”

Franklin’s popcorn experiment admittedly went better than his attempt to smuggle a 2-liter of Coca-Cola in a Camel Pack for a screening of Black Panther last year, which resulted in a leak, and an embarrassingly ruined pair of pants.
