Citing this month’s “outrageous water bill,” Oklahoma City dad Travis Benson recently gathered his family in the living for a 30-minute discussion about the importance of fully turning off the bathroom sink.
“When you guys pay the bills, you can leave the faucet running all you want,” Benson told his teenage sons. “But until then, if I walk in to find the faucet dripping one more time, no more Fortnite.”
When his son pointed at the handle was loose, Benson nearly lost it.
“Oh so you’re telling me that me and your mom can turn off the water, but not you?!” he screamed.
Benson then went on to outline a detailed 5-point plan for ensuring maximum water and electrical conservation in the house, including double-checking the fridge door to make sure it’s closed and never, ever leaving the A/C on when they leave the house.
