Dads Nationwide Welcome “Sandals With Socks” Season

As temperatures have finally started to rise after an unusually long winter, dads across America have officially announced the beginning of “sandals with socks” season.

This time of year, which usually lasts from April until July, is a season when dads can embrace the warmth of socks with the casualness of sandals, all while ignoring basic fashion laws.

“Sandal and socks season is the best,” remarked one 49-year-old father. “It’s comfortable, it’s warm, and it looks great with my cargo shorts.”

Typically, sandals and socks season is followed by “regular sandals and embarrassing dad-speedo at the beach” season, much to the horror and dismay of teenagers everywhere. This year’s sandals and socks season is expected to go a bit later into the year, due to its late start, and dads everywhere are wasting no time in getting into the spirit of it.

“I just love sandals, and I love socks,” a 44-year-old dad told reporters. “Plus, I got this like, fungus thing, so you really don’t want me taking those socks off, phew-wee.”
