In an effort to “show that Siri who’s boss,” local dad Patrick Lennon was seen driving home from work incredibly recklessly in order to beat the estimated arrival time provided by Google Maps.
Lennon successfully arrived home at 5:32 PM, despite Google Map’s original estimated arrival time of 5:34 PM. To do so, he rolled through six stop signs, failed to signal before changing lanes thirteen times, and cut off four separate vehicles.
“Well, you know, when Google told me that I was going to get home around 5:35, I thought, no way,” Lennon told his wife later that evening. “Like, there were way too many red sections that I just knew would be more yellow-like. And sure enough, I was right.”
Unbeknownst to Lennon, throughout the course of his drive, he was caught by three different speed cameras, and one red light camera, and should get tickets in the mail for about $350 within the next six to eight weeks.
