Man Lying On Couch Pretty Sure He Could Crush It As Luge Rider

The 2018 Olympic Winter Games are nearly upon us, and while the world’s best athletes prepare to compete, 38-year-old father of two Gary Benson thinks he also has what it takes.

“Look, I’m doing it right now,” he said, lying on his couch and munching on potato chips. “Seriously, just put me on the sled and boom, I’m a luge guy…or whatever they call themselves.”

While luge is known as one of the most dangerous Olympic events, Benson doesn’t think it would be that bad.

“You just lay there really still, right? I do that all the time. Just ask my wife!” he said. “Seriously, I don’t know if the U.S. already has someone for the event, but if he can’t make it, just book me a ticket to South Korea and I’ll bring home the gold. Guaranteed.”
