Breaking News: Dad Trying To Fix It Himself Again

A local family is on high alert after 39-year-old father Kevin Jansen has decided to attempt to fix the wiring in the baby’s room, despite having very little working knowledge of electrical systems or even basic home repair.

“Well the bulb wasn’t working so I figured I’d just get in there and see what’s what,” said Jansen as he removed the ceiling fan cover. “Hmm…must be the wiring. I better get some needle nose pliers for this job.”

Jansen’s wife Stacy expressed concern about Kevin trying to “fix it himself again.”

“It’s like he totally forgot what happened when he tried to fix the leaky faucet in the upstairs bathroom,” she said. “Our checkbook didn’t forget, I can guarantee that. It took two thousand dollars to fix his ‘fix.’ Although on the bright side, at least that project didn’t result in an ER visit like the Great Drywall Incident of 2014.”
