“Look, a water main break!” local dad Pete Benson shouted as he swung the car around to get a better look at broken pavement and a puddle of water on Palomino Drive in Cleveland, Ohio. “Oh yeah, definitely some pipe issues there.”
It was unclear why Benson felt the need to take a second pass, but it’s not an isolated incident, according to his wife Jan.
“It’s like when a dog sees a squirrel,” she said. “I think maybe Pete worked as a plumber during a summer in high school or something? All I know is he’s oddly fascinated with sewer disturbances for a 43-year-old accountant who drives an Audi.”
According to Benson, the “local water guys” were going to have a “heck of a time” fixing that situation.
Benson has also been known to show interest in downed power lines and construction workers using heavy machinery.
