Announcing that he “might as well get a few games going in the winter,” Overland Park, Kansas father-of-two, Andrew Spiro, has apparently purchased a membership for a nearby indoor tennis club for some reason. Spiro, who occasionally plays tennis on free outdoor courts during the summer with his kids, but isn’t what you’d call “a tennis player,” apparently made that decision after an early snowfall blanketed the town last week.
“I don’t get it,” his 16-year-old son, James, told reporters. “Like, he’s not really good at tennis. He just sort of puts on short shorts and only covers half the court when he plays. This is really coming out of left field.”
Even more baffling to residents is Spiro’s decision to purchase this membership despite no one else that he plays with belonging to the club. Spiro, who is paying $50 a month for the privilege of playing tennis inside during the winter, has inferred that he is considering starting lessons, which will cost him another $40 a week. Sources are still waiting on what Mrs. Spiro thinks about this purchase, as Andrew is planning on hiding this expenditure from her as long as he can.
