Local dad Aaron Franks shocked the members of his fantasy football league by dropping his backup quarterback in order to pick up a third kicker, despite already having Matt Prater and Kai Forbath on his roster.
Franks, who currently has a 3-9 record, has decided to pick up Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo because, “He’s projected to get 9 points according to ESPN, and I really need the points.”
This is Franks’ second year playing fantasy football, and his three wins this season is a marked improvement over his 1-12 record last year. He claims that kickers are the “key to his success.”
As he explained to reporters, “You see, last year, everyone gave me a hard time for drafting a kicker in the second round, and I learned my lesson. You can get all the good kickers you’d ever want just off the waiver wire. That’s where I got two of my kickers so far! I don’t understand why no one else gives themselves a backup kicker, just in case.”
Franks is currently projected to lose next week’s game 101-73, but claims, “If the right kicker goes off, I’ve got a shot at this thing!”
