Distraught Dad Rushes Broken Lawn Mower To Mechanic For Emergency Repairs

Tragedy has struck a local father as his lawnmower suddenly broke down in such a way that he was unable to repair it on his own. Witnesses report watching John Gillington, 53, pick up the mower and sprint down to the nearest mechanic in hopes that he could save his Honda HRX217K5VKA lawnmower, which retailed for $600 and was constantly referred to by Gillington as his “baby.”

Gillington was seen holding back tears as he paced back and forth in the mechanic’s office waiting to hear the prognosis. According to him, the mower, which he bought for himself as a Father’s Day gift, “hit a rock or something, and stopped working,” while he was getting “one of his last mows of the fall in.”

The local mechanic stated that he normally never works on anything other than cars but, “As a father who mows the lawn, I have a sworn duty to do what I can.” As of press time, the mower was still not functioning, but the prognosis is good.
