Daughter Of VP Of Sales Crushes Q2 Girl Scout Earnings
Miami, Fla. – Quarter 2 earnings from Girl Scouts of America have been released and it is reported that Alyssa Liles, 8, has totally crushed Girl Scout Cookie sales. Liles is the daughter of Daniel Liles, 38, who is the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a large consumer goods corporation.
In an exclusive interview with the sales super-duo, Alyssa’s father said he is teeming with pride.
“Trust me, I could not be more proud of Lyss,” Daniel said about his daughter’s business performance. “But, don’t get me wrong, I’m honestly surprised that everyone is so taken aback by her sales numbers. She’s my daughter. Deals are my art form.”
The younger Liles earned over $200,000 in cookie revenue, which equates to roughly 50,000 boxes of cookies, all of which was donated to Girl Scouts of America. The younger Liles does not claim to have achieved this feat completely on her own, however. According to both her and her father, he had a significant role in her sales success.
“I would be lying if I said I did’t help my beautiful daughter out,” Daniel said. “I’m raking in multi-million dollar deals every month, so this was a cookie-walk for me…see what I did there? Yeah, we crushed it, just like I do every day. The only drawback is that it’s a non-profit, so there’s no commission on sales.”
Liles mentioned the changing economy, specifically in regards to e-commerce and digital marketing.
“To get a million views, all you have to do is change the lyrics to some pop song to have to do with whatever you want to promote,” Liles explained. “So, we just changed the lyrics of ‘Fortunate Son’ by CCR, put a link to purchase at the end of the video and BOOM. ABC, baby. Always. Be. Closing.”
The online point of purchase for the standalone Liles cookie site even included a bulk option, specifically designed for large corporations looking for tax write-off incentives. A few quick emails from Liles to his various connections significantly impacted the earnings.
When asked what she liked most about this business-like experience, Alyssa did not mention anything having to do with closing deals or cold-calls.
“I like the badges!” Alyssa said enthusiastically.
Daniel Liles claims to have already sent the quarterly report to the top business schools in the country, including Harvard, University of Pennsylvania and Stanford.
“Honestly, it brings a tear to my eye. She’s got what it takes to be a very successful businesswoman. The brief sales training I gave her has her overcoming objections, following up with clients, getting referrals. She’s daddy’s little shark,” Liles said.
