Husband and father Nick Benson is going to realize Sunday is Mother’s Day any moment now, according to witnesses.
“He’s just got that look about him,” said his daughter. “It usually happens like the night before a big holiday or anniversary. He just bolts upright and realizes he has to run to the store before they all close.”
For the past two weeks, Benson has somehow ignored all the Mother’s Day commercials, store signs and hints his wife has dropped about that sofa at Macy’s.
“I love the weekend,” Benson said, still blissfully unaware of the holiday. “I can just sit back and relax with a cold beer. The wife will probably take the kids shopping tomorrow or something, so maybe I can even mow the lawn or spend some quality time with the new sander in the garage.”
