Intense squabbling has broken out in the Jackson household as Gregory, father of 17-year-old Trevor, has found a receipt confirming that his son took his car in to a local mechanic to get an oil change.
“How could you do this?” Mr. Jackson demanded, pointing to the piece of paper indicating a $40 dollar payment to “Stan’s Oil Change.”
“Look at that upcharge,” Jackson fumed. “You give me five dollars, a dripping pan, and ten minutes, and I could have done this myself. Forty dollars? What are we, the Rockefellers?”
Trevor attempted to deflect the situation by claiming that it was “just easier” to take the car in, to which his father angrily responded, “No son of mine is ever going to be too lazy to change their own oil. Go to your room boy, I can’t even look at you right now.”
